I live here and so I can clarify. Sycamore is upscale and immaculate. The nearby Avila Hot Springs is a bit more on the budget side, but also more down to earth and family oriented. Both are in a great area and just a few miles from the beach and cute as a button Avila Barn farm with locally grown produce, gifts and a petting zoo. Bike trails are right there too.

6/2001– Crowded, nasty and dirty and that’s the nicest thing I can say about it. Hope all is well and thanks for the site,
Terry. Nice work! I just wanted to clairify that if this was the Sycamore
Hot Springs which has the RV and camping, then my review stands. It’s
hideous and filthy. If you were referring to their B&B and hotel with the
private tubs and tubs on the hillside just down the road, that’s paradise!
I couldn’t tell which one you were talking about and I assumed that the site
was the drive up, camp out place. It was a truly nasty experience.

9/2000–
I recently had reservations to stay here for three days. Unfortunately, I checked in and then immediately checked out! Filthy, unkept and has not been updated or cleaned in years.
I had a massage and a facial scheduled, but after viewing the facility, cancelled my appointments for these as well.
