  1. There used to be beautiful old tiled private rooms with individual tubs. The tile work was unique and vintage. The 8 tubs had 4 connecting doors and massage at the end of the hall. It was lovely. New people bought it several years ago and took the tubs out. Now in that space there are screaming children playing video games. It's just tragic. I never went back.

  2. 8/27/2000- This must be the most convenient hot spring in the Golden State just one minute off the Highway 101 North of Pismo Beach. It is a casual place that is great to bring kids. There is a large, modern, regular-water swimming pool with a big shallow end for the little ones and two large, twisting water slides. Next to the pool is a 12′ x 12′ hot spring pool that is about 2.5′ deep. The water runs in about at 105 degrees and the pool is about 102 degrees. The water smells of sulfur and leaves the skin with a pleasant feeling. There are changing rooms and a shower. It costs $7.50 per adult and the admission is good for all day from 9 AM to 10 PM. Just up the road at the same exit is the much fancier Sycamore Springs Inn and Spa where you can stop in and get a private room bath for $12.50 per adult for 1 hour. Looks like a good place to stay without kids.
